Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Vecti, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The Service

Vecti is a tax operations service for UK self-employed users. It is designed to help you:

  • Track income, expenses, mileage, and invoices
  • Estimate tax, National Insurance, and VAT
  • Use HMRC connection and filing features where they are enabled in your version of the service
  • Connect with your accountant for collaboration and year-end handoff

3. Account Registration

To use Vecti, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Provide accurate registration information
  • Keep your credentials secure
  • Use your account only for yourself unless we agree otherwise

4. Subscription and Billing

Vecti offers subscription plans billed monthly or annually. Store subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google on mobile. Web checkout, where offered, is handled by Stripe.

5. HMRC Submissions

If you connect HMRC to Vecti, you remain responsible for the accuracy of the financial information you enter and any submissions you approve. Vecti is software, not tax advice.

6. Accountant Collaboration

Vecti currently supports connecting with your chosen accountant and sharing records for collaboration. A broader public accountant marketplace is not part of the current launch scope and may be added later under separate terms.

7. Acceptable Use

You must not use Vecti to:

  • Submit false or misleading tax information
  • Attempt to access other users' data
  • Reverse engineer or tamper with the service
  • Use the service for illegal activity

8. Liability

We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free results in every scenario. We are not responsible for losses caused by incorrect data entered by you or by advice provided by any accountant you choose to work with.

9. Termination

You may delete your account from Profile → Delete Account. Our Data Deletion page explains the available web and email request paths as well. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or misuse the service.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
